toe surgery, furry mirrors, and wedding bands.

Today Ashley and I woke up late because I couldn’t fall asleep. We scrambled around for a bit trying to get ready. We went to school and learned more about the subjunctive. Que Bueno!!! This is a picture of Mindy and I matching... with a random matcher, Becky! HOORAY!

After school, we went swimming with Jessica and Ashley and Rachel (Hermana Stalling’s daugher). The pool was cold and clean, and it felt nice. However, it was lacking chlorine, which made me sad. Here is a picture of us...

We were only there for about an hour because we had to go home and get ready. I got so dang sunburned, even though I put on 30 SPF sunscreen. Crazy! Anyways, we took the bus home, and it was definitely one of the coolest, most crazy buses I have ever seen. It was pink, it had pink furry mirrors, as I have previously mentioned, and the bus driver was for sure on a mission to get through his route ASAP. Here's a picture!

We got off the bus and talked about how rad it would be if we had hamburgers for lunch. We walked in the front door, and no joke, the maid was cooking the hamburgers that we were dreaming of. And they were so dang good… and the hamburger meat was loaded with different herbs and spices. It was fabulous. After lunch I performed toe surgery. You see, when I was running last night… something got stuck in my big toe nail. My toe proceeded to be disgusting (see picture),

and I cut a bunch of it off… good times. After this, we went to Manuel’s birthday party. It was quite the adventure getting there. This is a picture of the map we used... so we wouldn't have to take our map. Yeah, we're pretty cool. haha.

We got kinda lost, but it’s all good! Cuz we found it!!! Anyways, we went out to eat, the restaurant happened to be the same one we went to on Sunday (so I knew the menu like the back of my hand). Ok, not really… but I ordered Horchata, fabulous, and ice cream, also fabulous. Here is a picture of Manuel, Tyrell, and I at the party!

From Manuel’s party, we went to the Orchestra, and it was so fabulous. Here's a picture of the orchestra...

The cellist was AMAZINGLY good. We sat in the balcony… this is what the balcony looks like...

I sat next to Marco and Becky. Here is what we look like...

After the first hour, I decided I was slightly bored. I looked down on the ground level at all the different people. I officially had the biggest people watching party ever. I observed a man trying to hold a woman’s hand. She pulled away. I decided that this couple would be my prime suspects for the night… I then noticed that she was wearing a wedding ring, and he was not. We (Becky and I) decided that she would not hold her husband’s hand because he lost the ring. It was quite entertaining to watch his failures… over and over again. Poor man, never even got to hold her hand. Ha. But seriously, the orchestra was fabulous… and I loved the theater… I feel that I might have regained the ten IQ points I lost from Lucha Libre. After the orchestra played, we met up with some of the kids from the branch, and went to this point on the mountain where you can see EVERYTHING in the city. It was so beautiful! I tried to take a picture, but it was just fuzzy because it was dark. Which is pretty lame, I know. Someday, I will go back and take a picture in the light. Happy times for us, for sure. After this, I went home and now I am going to sleep! Love you all!!!
